ChinatownThe Greater Hood
San Francisco's Chinatown is the oldest and largest Chinese community outside of Asia. Its roots run deep, creating its own government, maintaining hundreds of businesses and boasting the largest tourist draw in San Francisco. We wanted to make sure the animal to represent Chinatown was just as powerful as this neighborhoods spirit so we chose a tiger. Tigers represent the power and might of kings with the ability to cast away evil spirits, making them the right fit for this strong neighborhood.
